What is a Seer?

In a nutshell, this is typically used to describe a person who “sees.” This includes visions, dreams, and other forms of sensory insight.

In the Bible, a seer was the initial term used to describe a prophet of God. However, later on in scripture, clear distinctions were made between two main types of prophets and prophetic streams…

1. Nabi Prophets

2. Seer Prophets

Nabi Prophets flow more frequently in hearing God, while Seer Prophets flow more in the visionary realm.

Now, there is a big difference between having a seeing gift vs being a seer prophet (who is mantled). But if you can tick off the following signs, it could likely be an indication of an early calling as a Prophetic Seer.

- Mysteries / puzzles intrigue you (you love figuring things out or seeing the obscure)

- You are more sensitive than others (so you often feel different)

- Have frequent dreams / nightmares, visions, sensations (likely started as a child already)

- Keen observer (including people’s behaviors)

- You are a creative (this could be music, visual art, writing, or even coming up with solutions to problems non-related to art)
